Taşhan

Taşhan(Hekimhan)is located in ... Hekimhan district, Malatya. It was built in two sections. In the first part, there is an inscription on the entrance door of the section, the left side of which is Armenian, the middle part is Selçuk and the right side is written in the Syriac language. The date written in Arabic is H. 615 (M. 1218) in the inscription written with the Seljuk sulus. The name of the Seljuk Sultan mentioned in the inscription is Izzettin Keykâvus (1210 - 1219). The second part of the inscription of the khan was built in the period of Alaaddin Keykubat (1219 - 1237), as a construction inscription. The third inscription is the repair inscription in the Ottoman period (Url-1). Hekimhan plan has a square courtyard at the front, the rooms lined up around it, a rectangular shape in the back of the courtyard, and a closed hall divided into three sections (Günel, 2010). There are a total of four windows, three of the same size on the top of the north wall and one on the south front portal of the enclosed part. Three reinforcement struts were used only on the western wall of the outer walls of the closed section (Sahin, 2016).There are buns on the side walls of the closed hall. There is no decoration in the inn. Han was restored by the Regional Directorate of Foundations between 2006-2009 (Url-1). In time, the door on the west facade continued to be used as a result of the conditions of the period, such as the bath became idle, and the market and the road that were still active in front of the west entrance of the building in the 20th century, and the entrance on the east facade was closed (Sahin, 2016).

Sevserek Han

This caravanserai was located in ... Yazgı district of Malatya and it is registered in 2005. According to the Cultural Inventory of Malatya (2014), it was built on the south-north center on the west inclined land and the city center is 21 km away from there. The stones of the door of the room opening to the iwan have been removed. There are two places in the west of the house. It is understood that the room, which is adjacent to the iwan and has a size of 3.80x4.00m, was opened here from the remaining wall remains and covered with a vault (Url-3).There is a courtyard that is likely to be closed in the middle part, there are rooms on either side, and the barn gallery surrounds them in four directions, and the vaults intersect as verve (Tukel-Yavuz, 1991). The area of 3.80 m x 3.90 m in the northwest corner opens directly to the outside. The part between the courtyard and the front gallery of the rooms is ruined; in this part, it is very possible to continue the rooms around the closed courtyard (Tukel-Yavuz, 1991). The khan was an important compass in the Seljuk Period (Url-3).

Çubuk Han

This khan is located 107 km ... from Sivas city center. The presence of an khan near Eskiçubuk town on the old highway of Sivas - Kayseri was found on the map of Çekül, however there is no accommodation structure that has survived in the region. Alacahan

Alacahan is located in Alacahan District ..., 100 km from the new Sivas-Malatya highway as the 3rd destination point (Darendeli, 2019), on the route of old Baghdad - Silk Road. According to the Turkish Culture Portal, The khan as quite large and large in volume, with a completely covered door, so it was used as a "winter inn". The khan name Alaca (mottled) comes from its black-and-white stone masonry walls, and it is entered through the low arch door behind the round arch protruding outward (Url-1). Caravanserai was built in three sections, rectangular in the north-south direction, middle and two sides (Topçu, 2016). The middle space has a rectangular plan in the east-west direction and has two rooms next to each other in the west and a space in opposite corners to the east, and is larger and higher than the sides (Eskikurt & Garipağaoğlu, 2008). On the south and north branches, the front is reinforced with buttresses and one in the south; there are no skylights on the facades, enlightenment is provided through openings on the roof. (Darendeli, 2019; Url-7). The entrance space is located on the axis of the east facade that has a round arched entrance door and is enclosed in a pointed arch iwan; the body is highlighted by keeping it higher than its walls and the south facade is in the form of a flat wall (Eskikurt & Garipağaoğlu, 2008). According to Darendeli (2019), the building has survived due to its proximity to the current highway and being located in a large residential center. The building, which has lost its accommodation function, has been used by the people of the region for various functions. The fact that the building was open to use has been one of the biggest factors in the building's reach to the present day. The repair and restoration applications on the building have been completed at many points. The top cover, especially the stones on the entrance door on the eastern facade, were destroyed and many of the stones were deformed. The eastern facade was largely completed in the restoration (Darendeli, 2019). Regarding the facade, colored stonework and ornaments were preferred on the outside and inside of the building by using colored stone, cut stone and rubble stone (Eskikurt & Garipağaoğlu, 2008).

Sarphan

Sarphan, known as Tepehan, is located ...on Elazığ-Diyarbakır trade route as the 4th destination point, in Yağbasan area. According to a master's thesis prepared in 2019, there is no accommodation structure that has survived to the day in Yağbasan, but old maps, traveler notes and literature studies show the existence of an accommodation structure here (Darendeli, 2019). The map of the Çekül Foundation that was published in 2012, shows this caravansari.

Tatlıcak Latif Han

The building on the old caravan ... road of Sivas - Kayseri, at the beginning of the road leaving to Tatlıcak Village and in the northwest of Tatlıcak Höyük, was built on the slope of a sloping land on the side of the road (Darendeli, 2019). Although this han was mentioned in many resources and, despite the fact that it was quite large and important, it has not been able to determine its exact location (Url-2). According to Darendeli, the building has been heavily ruined and there is only a vault covering over a space. In the service area, which has a vaulted cover and is the only remained part of Latifhan, the original ground level has risen because the floor is full of rubble and soil. There is no detail on the walls of this unit, which measures approximately 5.30 m X 4.20 m. There were gaps and material losses in the north and south walls of the place. Some of the stones of the outer wall of the wall were cast. The outer walls are covered with white sedimentary stone, the inner rubble fill is made with gray and black sedimentary stone. Due to the fact that the floor was filled with soil, a large part of the wall has been remained under the ground. The inner part of the vaulted top cover is plastered but a large part of the plaster is spilled (Darendeli, 2019).

Lala Han

Lala Han is located on the Sivas... -Kayseri route, in theeast of Ankara (Özergin, 1965). It is located after Gemerek and the Gedik Han, and it is believed to be near the Şahruh Bridge, but its exact location is not clear (Url-2).

Burmahan

Burmahan was built in 1200s on the ... edge of Çaltı River in Duru Village in Divriğı District (Url-1)and it is said to take its name from the twisted door and the twisted locks at the entrance (Url-4). Located on a hill, the khan consists of a quadrangular planned three-naved enclosure and a courtyard in the east-west direction (Acun, 2007). It is smaller than the Seljuk Caravanserai in the usual sizes; 24x52m in size (Url-4). The middle part of the closed section, which is covered with a pointed vault, was kept larger than the others (Kutlu, 2019). The courtyard, which is larger than the closed part, has been extended to the south (Acun, 2007). There is a portico with five sections in the north of the courtyard. There are two large iwans in the east and two rectangular shaped pointed vaults in the north, and two square-covered areas in the south, covered with a dome (Url-1). To the west of the place in the south, there is a small hammam consisting of two square planned sections with a square plan and a mirrored vault. The bath opens out to the south of the western facade (Darendeli, 2019). The eastern and southern parts of the courtyard are under the settlement today. (Acun, 2007). The top cover of the inn is earth and covered with grass due to neglect, weather conditions and not being used; however, the northern and eastern facades are largely devastated (Darendeli, 2019). Apart from the shelter part of the building, especially in the courtyard part, a very severe destruction is observed; this situation must have resulted from the loss of the function of the caravanserai, the railway construction and the process of looting the caravanserai and turning them into houses (Kutlu, 2019).

Denizli Makıt Han

It is located in Denizli village of ...Keban district, in Elazığ, 15 km north-west of Keban, between Arapkir and Ağın roads (Özergin, 1965), and located on the historical Silk Road. Regarding the Makıt Han, Şen (2015) stated that although the construction date is not known precisely, it was built in the late 13th and early 14th centuries in terms of its plan and construction technique. It is without a courtyard and the crown gate does not form a bulge on the front, it opens out in the form of a rising iwan, so it is estimated that it was a late period khan of the Seljuk period. The building has a rectangular plan. It has a settlement in the north-south direction and is 16.65 m. x 25.48 m. in size. Following the entrance iwan, it is passed to a closed place with a door. The entrance is provided with a smaller size door. Closed part 14.05 x 17.70 m. in size. It is divided into three scenes, with six arched openings thrown in five feet extending in two rows. A support belt has been placed between the third leg and the wall in the entrance direction. Today, the ground stands as soil. The edges of the window and upper lighting sections are also made of cut stone. The absence of similar caravanserais in the immediate surroundings makes this work even more important. (Şen, 2015).

In addition, it is located on the route of Pingan - Burmahan - Murçinge –Kantarmış on the old Erzincan-Malatya shortcut road; the Murçinge Bridge (Handere Bridge) with the same name is located on the Murçinge Stream in the south of the settlement (Darendeli, 2019). As it is stated by Tukel-Yavuz, the outer walls are 18.52 m x 15.16 m. in size, defines a longitudinal rectangle and dimensions of inner side are 7.86 m x 11 m. The inner surfaces of the outer walls and the vaults are built with fine rubble stone; the service areas that return to the central courtyard are covered with rough stone rubble stone and their plaster is poured. (Darendeli, 2019). There is a rectangular area between the outer wall and the rectangle in the middle as galleries, and both the middle and the galleries are barrel vaulted. The central part and the galleries are connected by pointed arched openings on their common walls. The ruins of the vault are still in the middle, so the ground level is unclear. (Tukel-Yavuz, 1991).
